Kiwanis International has founded a variety of service leadership programs designed to inspire and build in young people the values of serving and leading.

Kiwanis Family Clubs

Kiwanis International empowers people at every stage of life to become competent, capable, and compassionate leaders by helping them learn to help others. Through its Service Leadership Programs, Kiwanis enables its youngest leaders to serve their communities, opening doors for them to change the world. Through Aktion Club, Kiwanis members give adults with disabilities the opportunity to develop initiative and leadership skills in serving their communities while enabling their integration into society.

As a Kiwanis member, you have the privilege of serving and guiding these developing leaders:

Kiwanis Kids
Three programs for primary school students between the ages of 6 and 12: K-Kids, Bring Up Grades (BUG), and Terrific Kids.

Builders Club
A leadership program for middle and junior high school students.

Key Club International
The oldest and largest service leadership organization for teens in the world with members in 30 nations.

Key Club is a community and school service club that takes an active role in assisting individuals and groups Student members develop leadership through involvement with the Lombard Kiwanis Club and other service clubs throughout the community. By helping Kiwanis, the club sponsors funds for college scholarships, and offer assistance to other needy community projects and citizens. Key Club members become part of an international organization that offers a club member magazine and regional, national, and international leadership conferences. Some service activities and fund raising projects that members perform include: car washes, Big Brother/Big Sister student assistance programs, food drives, clothing drives, book and toy drives, and friendship activities.

Circle K International
The largest service organization for university students in the world with members in 17 nations.

Aktion Club
Aktion Club is the only service club for adults with disabilities, with more than 12,000 members worldwide.

Aktion Clubs draw members from various organizations that support individuals with disabilities, as well as other community programs. Aktion clubs can also be established at churches, libraries, YMCAs, lodges or similar facilities. A Kiwanis club, composed of like-minded, service-oriented people from the community, serves as the club’s sponsor.

Aktion Club is supported at the district level and by the Kiwanis International Office in Indianapolis, Indiana, which provides programs, literature and opportunities to relate to individuals with disabilities from countries worldwide.
